About Us
Nizhóní means beautiful in the Navajo Indian language.
On one hand it can refer to something that’s attractive and on the other it refers to something that is good. This is because the Navajo idea of beauty goes beyond appearances. Beauty is a sense of being and is comprised of harmony and balance that is felt within. Things outside of our own minds can remind us of that beauty; those things the Navajo people call Nizhóní.
By embracing the essence of the Navajo belief to “walk in beauty” it is essential to find our balance in this modern world. Looking to nature is a cure for the body & mind to maintain our personal harmony. Arizonans are blessed to live in the southwest where we can be renewed by the desert’s spirit. At Nizhóní Spa, we believe how we feel on the inside surely shows on the outside and in all things we do.

Policies & Code of Ethics
Rescheduling and Cancellation of ANY Service Appointments
Changes or cancellations to your appointment must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Your credit card information will be safely stored in your profile and will only be used to reserve your appointment. Your card will not be charged until after your service is completed, and you may opt to use a different form of payment at checkout. In the event of a late cancellation or no-show, fees will be charged to your credit card on file. Cancellations for massages and facials will incur a $50 fee, while cancellations for waxing, tanning, and tinting appointments will incur a $25 fee. If your credit card is declined, an invoice will be sent to you for payment. Failure to pay may result in the inability to book future appointments. Lastly, excessive online booking changes are hard on our small business and we appreciate you booking with confidence to avoid rescheduling. Late and Early Appointments
In general, your appointment begins at your scheduled appointment time. If you are running late, kindly take a moment to call. It is important to us to respect the appointment time of all clients, yourself included. If you are late to a massage or facial, we may have to cut your appointment short but will still expect payment for the full scheduled session. If you are more than 15 minutes late without contacting us, you will be considered a "no show".
Payment
Payment in full is due at the time of service and is payable by cash or credit card. Prices are subject to change at any time.
Statement of Massage Policy
As Licensed Massage Therapists, we follow the Code of Ethics for Massage Therapists set forth by the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) & AZ Board of Massage Therapy. All information you provide, both written and verbally, will remain completely confidential as allowed by the law. We will treat you fairly and ethically, and will establish an atmosphere of trust and decency during each session. We ask the same in return from you.
As LMTs, our goal is to assist you in meeting your goals of relaxation, stress reduction, pain management, body awareness, and integration of mind, body, & spirit. The primary modalities (types) of massage we use are Swedish Massage, Trigger Point, Myotherapy & Deep Tissue. If there is something that makes you uncomfortable in any way, it is your job to speak up and communicate this to your therapist.
Our massage services are strictly non-sexual.
We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service at any time, for any reason, in an effort to ensure the safety of our clients and ourselves. Full payment will still be collected.
Referrals
There may be situations when we believe it is in your best interest to consult a physician, or other health care professional, before receiving massage. In such a case, we will explain the situation and why we believe the consultation is necessary. At other times, we may complete a massage session and recommend you consult with a health care professional afterwards.
Your Massage Experience
Your massage therapy session should be a comfortable, relaxing, safe experience. The stated policies and procedures are merely a means to that end. They are written to encourage understanding of massage therapy and to meld the expectations of both client and massage therapist.
